Who We Are

CRRC Yongji is a manufacturer of electric transmission systems founded in 1969. We design and build traction motors, alternators, converters and generators for three major markets: rail transport, wind power generation and high-power industrial drives.

Across more than five decades, we have built the engineering, production scale and field experience that keep our equipment running in more than 50 countries.

Our History

  • 1969 — Founded by China’s Railway Administration to supply electrical equipment for rail traction.
  • 2000 — Became the sole supplier of traction systems to the CNR group.
  • 2007 — Reorganized as Yongji Xinshisu Electric Equipment Co., Ltd.
  • 2009 — Public listing under CNR.
  • 2015 — Began operating under the name CRRC Yongji.

Global Presence

CRRC Yongji serves more than 50 countries through a network of 9 joint ventures and subsidiaries, headquartered in Xi’an (China) with operations in São Paulo (Brazil), Durban (South Africa), Prague (Czech Republic), Delhi (India) and Beijing, among others.

A footprint of 8 sales and service offices covers Czech Republic, Russia, South Korea, India, Australia, Brazil, Chile and Argentina, supporting commercial, technical and after-sales work across the LATAM corridor.

Between 2021 and 2023, we exported motors, alternators and converters to the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Nigeria, Indonesia, Malaysia, Guinea, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia and Chile — with 7 YJ151B alternators delivered to Chile in 2021–2022. In Latin America that translates into an office in São Paulo (Rua Funchal, 203) and service coverage in Santiago and Buenos Aires, with a recent delivery on the ground in the Chilean market.
